Movies and TV Shows
Holiday in the Sun and What I Like About You
Fox landed her first big break when she was cast as a bratty heiress in the 2001 Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen comedy Holiday in the Sun. The movie, which had a large cult fanbase, went straight to DVD.
Over the next few years, Fox appeared in several guest-spot television roles. In 2002, she had a part in the Swedish-produced soap opera Ocean Ave. That same year, Fox guest-starred on the WB network show What I Like About You, led by Amanda Bynes.
Hope & Faith and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen
The year 2004 was a big one for Fox. She made an appearance in the CBS hit comedy Two and a Half Men, starring Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer, and was a series regular on the short-lived WB sitcom The Help. She also began appearing on the ABC sitcom Hope & Faith, in which she played the daughter of Faith Ford’s character in the second and third seasons. That performance earned her a Young Artists Award nomination in 2005. Fox also returned to film work that year when she won the role of Carla Santi, a rival of Lindsay Lohan’s character in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.
Megan Fox’s Early Co-Stars
Transformers and Sequel
Fox landed her biggest break in 2007 when she was cast alongside Shia LaBeouf in the Steven Spielberg–produced blockbuster Transformers. Fox played romantic lead Mikaela Banes in the movie and earned an MTV Movie Award nomination for breakthrough performance.
With her stunning looks, Fox regularly graced the pages of men’s magazines like Maxim during this time, earning FHM’s designation of “Sexiest Woman Alive” in 2008. She also drew attention for her talent and marketability, topping Moviefone’s list of “The 25 Hottest Actors Under 25” in 2008.
That year, Fox joined the cast of the comedy How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, which performed well in the United Kingdom but didn’t achieve much commercial success stateside.
The actor reprised her role as Mikaela Banes in 2009’s Transformers: Rise of the Fallen. The sequel was again a box-office success and kept Fox in the media spotlight. She signed on for the third installment of the franchise but later left the project, reportedly due to her disagreements with director Michael Bay.
Jennifer’s Body and TMNT
In 2009, Fox appeared in the horror movie Jennifer’s Body, which opened to minor success. She went on to play Leila, the gun-toting mistress, in the Wild West film Jonah Hex (2010) and enjoyed a supporting part in director Judd Apatow’s This Is 40 (2012). Fox then took on the role of April O’Neil, friend of the titular terrapins in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016).

Relationship with Machine Gun Kelly
Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have had a turbulent relationship since they began dating in 2020.
Fox met musician Machine Gun Kelly in early 2020 on the set of the movie Midnight in the Switchgrass and were often spotted together in the following months, but they didn’t start officially dating until that June. The following year, Fox told British GQ that her relationship with Kelly is “very intense,” adding that their “souls chose this.”
The couple got engaged in January 2022, with Kelly proposing to the actor under a Banyan tree. In announcing their engagement on Instagram, the couple revealed that they drank each other’s blood after the proposal. A few months later, Fox clarified that she and Kelly drink “just a few drops” of each other’s blood for “ritual purposes.”
However, the pair sparked break up rumors in February 2023 when Fox unfollowed her fiancé on Instagram and removed almost all pictures of him from her account. The next month, she showed up to an Oscars party alone without her engagement ring. By August, the couple appeared to be back together, with sources confirming the relationship status to Entertainment Tonight. In November 2023, Fox revealed she had experienced a miscarriage, telling WWD that the loss left her with “a lot of grief and a lot of suffering.” A month later, tabloids reported she and Kelly were going through another rough patch.
During an interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast in March 2024, Fox confirmed their engagement was called off sometime in 2023. “I think that what I’ve learned from being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption,” she said. Calling Kelly her “twin soul,” Fox said that she’ll “always be connected to him somehow.” Since then, the two have made several public appearances together. In November 2024, she announced that she is pregnant with her and Kelly’s first child together.
Ex-Husband and Kids
Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox were married for nearly a decade before they began divorce proceedings in 2020.
Prior her relationship with Kelly, Fox was married to Beverly Hills, 90210 actor Brian Austin Green. The pair got engaged twice: first in 2009, which was called off, then again in June 2010. Shortly after their second engagement, Fox made headlines when she lost her two-carat diamond ring on a beach while vacationing with Green in Hawaii. It was later revealed that the couple exchanged vows while they were there.
Fox and Green share three sons: Noah, born in 2012; Bodhi, born in 2014; and Journey, born in 2016. The pair announced their separation after 11 years together in August 2015, before reconciling the following year. The couple split for good in May 2020 and filed their divorce judgment in October 2021. Their divorce was finalized in February 2022.
